Day 12 -- West to Grand Canyon

What a great driving day! We left early with from Tim and Barb's in Albuquerque and headed for Arizona and the Grand Canyon. The weather was beautiful. For the first time in three days of driving we didn't have to battle a wind. I tell you what, that motor home drove just as sweet as could be without the wind. We drove straight and just ate up the miles. It was still one of our longest days, though, at nearly 400 miles. We arrived at the Grand Canyon late in the afternoon. Tim and Barb drove down (up, over?) in their convertible and poor Barb got some killer sunburn on her shoulder where she missed it with the sun-block. It was a long day and we were tired but we just had to see the canyon.
